Kingsley I. Ndoh, founder of Hurone AI, expressed his excitement at the recent spotlight on the company during Dr. Swami Sivasubramanian’s keynote at AWS re:Invent 2023. Swami, AWS VP of Data and Machine Learning, highlighted the company’s groundbreaking work with generative AI on Amazon Bedrock. The moment marked a pivotal moment in Hurone AI’s journey.
“Swami highlighted our work with generative AI on Amazon Bedrock and powerfully illustrated our potential for impact in a way that was both moving and direct. His passion for our vision is unmistakable and I am honored to have his support.” Ndoh remarked.
How generative AI is transforming cancer care
In his keynote address, Sivasubramanian emphasized Hurone AI’s role as a leading example of how generative AI can complement human capabilities in tackling critical challenges. Ndoh and his team have been diligently working towards their goal of democratizing cancer care, leveraging the transformative power of generative AI.
“Kingsley built this company on one mission-critical belief; that where you live should not determine whether you live or die of cancer, whether you’re in Latin America or Africa,” the AWS VP said at AWS re:Invent 2023.
“We’ve had to adapt swiftly and innovate continuously, fueled by the promise of generative AI to drive meaningful change. Hurone AI is poised to spearhead advancements in cancer care on a global scale, and we’re deeply grateful for the support from all quarters,” Ndoh acknowledged.
Ndoh extended his gratitude to Sivasubramanian, the AWS team, partners, and the dedicated members of the Hurone AI team as well as board advisors. Their collective belief in Hurone AI’s vision, Ndoh believes, is instrumental in realizing the vision of equitable cancer care worldwide.
Swami and Kingsley also shared the stage at the United Nations General Assembly Summit on AI, where they shed light on the potential of generative AI to revolutionize cancer care and advance global health equity.
