Hurone AI has been listed as one of LinkedIn’s “41 Big Ideas that will change our world in 2023.” We were mentioned in recognition of our efforts towards closing the oncologist-patient gap in Rwanda, in collaboration with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Health Equity Initiative.
The article highlights the growing healthcare worker shortage and how the world will need to turn to tech for help in addressing those gaps. It also predicts that, in 2023, hospitals, tech firms, and government agencies around the world will need to partner by embracing new technologies to care for patients and train new healthcare workers.
An excerpt reads:
“AWS is providing funding to startups like Seattle-based Hurone AI, which is testing an app in Rwanda that will help the country’s less than two dozen oncologists treat patients across the 13 million-person nation…”
Hurone AI Founder and Chief Strategist, Kingsley Ndoh, responding to the feature, said:
“This is a very encouraging endorsement of our work especially as we plan to scale and spread to other regions in 2023. Our goal is to use technology as a tool to improve access to cancer care in low and middle income communities around the world and I am grateful for all the support we have received and are still receiving on this journey.”
LinkedIn’s 41 Big Ideas list is published every December and features contributions from editors, business leaders and creators who share their thoughts on innovations they believe will define the year ahead.
